this is a killer for squats and pushups

we did this in class last night. I just did 95# on the bar and was wasted by the end. then did it with push ups

you stay down for several seconds at a time. after a couple minutes i was praying for the end of the song on the squats. we had a few minutes to rest then hit the pushups.

i hear one can try it with pull ups. i have not.

add it to your mp3 player and try it, i do tons of squats but this was really fun and a helluva set. hardcore guys do multiple sets.

here is the first vid i found of some folk doing it. does not look hardcore but i promise even you beasts will feel this. not a fan of moby but this song is not annoying like most of his stuff.

a lot of them are bouncing at the bottom for momentum. That is really bad for the knee joints.

no offense but I'll pass. not a single one of them can squat 500 including the instructor. last time I listened to 160lb trainer(not you) i got smaller and weaker plus got injured.

I do like the idea of staying athletic. For me I stay within athlet8ic ac,tivities in my experience and switch frfom bbing type hypertrophy training to higher rep faster and leave out the stuff that really taxes the joints. Then when its time to put mass back on switch back. Right now I'm grappling supplementing with weght training and starting to add ijn some HIIT.
