Pain = Band work

Still working through a bit of bicep + forearm pain, bands are my go-to. I recently discovered the beauty of doing pushups with a wide / fat band.

Saw the Slingshot for pushups + thought why not use what I have now for that? Not the same amount of resistance but it is functional for the time being.

Looping the band right over the elbows + gettin a few reps in go so smoothly. Feels like my elbows have been oiled up! The assistance with form is great since one of my elbows is harder to from flying out during pressing movements.

Been doing these on / off for a week, alternating between open palm + knuckle style.

Having time out for injury sucks ass but IMO there's always some way to work around it.

props to you for not quitting. if you're in tune with your body then working around injury will heal you faster then not doing anything. some people's answer to life's problem seem to be skipping the gym nowdays.

Yeah good on you for not just stopping. never tried the bands in that capacity. Just keep working.

I'm a champion when it comes to working out around injuries. I have never been injury/pain free since I started training (cycling, horse riding, athletics-javelin, ice skating, aerobics, running, power training and weightlifting).

Bands did wonders for me when I injured my left quad. They're no joke those bands.

I kept all my bands after my shoulder surgery. I still use them frequently.

Totally agree. Consistent movement = blood flow + possible to speed recovery. Skipping the gym is a sin. Punishable by death. lol

Holy hell, that's a lot of training you've got under your belt!! You a wizard or somethin? haha jk. Well if ya got some lil tips + tricks for gettin around the forearm bicep dealio, I'd love to hear 'em. Although it's been slower than I'd like, the pain continues to subside + rom has been improving!
