sick and on: what to do step by step

If it has not happened to you yet it will. You're in full swing of your winter bulk or your summer cycle and bang you start feeling like crap. You shrug it off and think it's just allergies. You go to the gym anyway and have a good work out. The next morning you feel way worse. You start panicking. You think shit man I just put on 8 lbs of lean mass and my diet is spot on. This can't be happening. Maybe I can work through it and the juice will keep me going. Well I'm here to tell you the cards are fixed at this point. You can get macho and walk like a zombie to the gym for a week or two and end up on your back for another 2-3 weeks or you can listen to the old man. Here's what I do:

1. recall my mom saying that a cold is 3 days coming, 3 days here and 3 days going. That's best case scenario.
2. I stop working out and plan to do some work at home for a week to keep my mind off the gym.
3. Drop the drugs except for a TRT dose of test, like one shot of 250 mg Test E.
4. Sleep lots.
5. Eat as healthy as I can and keep cals near maintenance.
6. Use as little cold medicine as possible
7. Attempt a light work out in one week
8. Evaluate how I feel the next day.
9. If I feel like I'm going to relapse I take another 2-4 days. If not I'm good to go but escalate back up in intensity over 2-4 days.

That's it. I realize that there will be a loss of time in the gym. If I'm stubborn I will suffer more and longer. If I just accept that I am I'll I can get on with moving to a situation that helps me to overcome the illness in the most efficient way. Dropping the drugs down to maintenance reduced stress and lessens the drive to get to the gym when it will not be productive. I find when I get back on full strength again I respond pretty much right away.

When u are on bro, your immune system gets weak and you tend to get sick and catch anything or a virus.

Once u are feeling sick, stop everything.
take plenty of vitamin c not only pills but FLUIDS.
sleep a lot like what u said.
lots of water as well
eat dry carbs like baked potatoes with salts and crackers.
stay away from meat and dairy and OILY FOOD.

get better than back on your diet.
its ok to be behind 2-4 days rather than 1-2 weeks

My dumb ass keeps on going. I guess I haven't been sick enough like you are describing.

I'll drop orals but not long esters. I guess it will take me being that sick to get it through my hard head.

Going thru the chest and head cold from hell. It's been 8 days still coughing, could not get to the gym if my life depended on it. Hate this crap.
