Dialing in but good fat question

I’m in a leaning out phase . A friend gave me some protein shakes to try . Easy on the colitis stomach because no fillers, lactose , gluten or sugar

But it’s pretty high in good fat .

When would you incorporate these or would you if in shredding phase ?

switch out beef for chicken or chicken for tilapia as needed to adjust for the fat.

pea protein is not bad, it is just not as complete as whey. as for the MCT I do not get what they are going for unless you are keto i do not see the benefit with the added calories. Granted the body does not store MCT like other saturated fats.

I guess if you are in a caloric deficit and low carb it might do well. Let us know what you think when you try them. I am sure it will not cause any ill effects although MCT can upset some folks guts.

if you have problem with digestion of whey; try the beef protein

it taste like the ass of a trex after eating a few mexicans but it digest well and fast

Saturated Fat 10g grams doesn't sound good to me.

Have you tried making your own protein at True Nutrition?

Pea protein is an acquired taste, you either like it or you don't. I can't stand it, mainly because it is super thick and foamy, and tastes too earthy for me. However, if I were to order pea protein, it would be from TN, and then i'd flavor it as desired. I think you could make a much healthier shake from TN, than this product. Taste...i'm not sure, might depend on what you add to it. The coconut oil fat in it gets absorbed hepatically so it may be beneficial from a digestive/absorption standpoint for your condition(s). It's considered a saturated fat, so that is why that fat type is high. I think of coconut oil like anything else, a little is probably fine, but too much may be an issue. Dante Trudel (TN owner) uses a bi-combo of pea protein and egg white protein for some of his shakes. That might be an option too. That said, if you like this stuff, and it goes good with your digestion, and if you have calories and macros in line in regards to your goal(s), then I see no problem with it.

Beef protein isolate tastes decent, especially for example, TN's choco-coconut flavor. However, many complain that it messes up their stomach and causes diarrhea. I bought it for awhile, and found it would cause diarrhea for me as well, an hour or two after consuming it.

I think you have problems with Whey Isolate IIRC?
