Have you wrapped it up? Can you get any topical anti-inflammatories from the doctor?

I have an Achillotrain but don't wear it because of the pressure it puts on the tendon. I will try again tomorrow. I can get topical anti-inflammatories. I put a Nurofen patch after the shower today and it feels better already.

All I did today is fasted cardio. Treadmill program 12: 6 kilometer, 518 cals burnt (no running and a max incline of 3%).

No cardio for me today since the Achilles hurts a lot even when I'm doing nothing ....

(Fasted) Upper body workout

Chest
100 push ups
Db press
Pullovers

Back
Deadlifts
One arm rows

Biceps
Curls
Hammer curls
Wrist curls
One arm concentration curls

Triceps
Kickbacks
Triceps extensions

Shoulders
Frontal raises
Reverse flys
Shrugs

Abs
100 reps
Plank 2 minutes

3 sets of 12 reps without rest

Not sure what to do about the Achilles since physio doesn't seem to help. I might ask the doc for an ultrasound to see if there is some "damage".

The only thing that is going to help that thing is rest, rest and more rest. Ice for 30 minutes after any activity and anti-inflammatories. It may take weeks or months to heal.

BTW two of the three most prominent activities that cause Achilles injuries are running and tennis.

I stopped playing tennis 4 weeks ago and running 2 before I left for London. I walk on the treadmill (without incline since you told me to drop it). I alternate with the Rotex (elliptical) without resistance. I can't stop doing cardio unless I stop eating. I need to burn calories.

Today I've done 40 min elliptical. Enough to break a good sweat and feel less guilty.

GF (and the other guys who check my log): what do you think of intermittent fasting?

Stretching really helps. I do calf raises and heel drops and I'm in less pain.

http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/sp...les-tendinitis

I went for a 4.5 km walk this morning (just enough not to feel guilty).

I am not really a fasting kind of person. I like food. The longest I go without eating is when I sleep.

I tried intermittent fasting a while back. I didn't dislike it. But I didn't notice greater weight loss or anything special from it.

I wouldn't do it to lose weight but to give my digestive system a break.

Today was cardio only.

35 min treadmill, 8 kms/h, 515 cals burnt.
15 min arm bicycle.
