Pleasantly surprising different versions of food

All this food talk got me thinking. I was in Paris recently and I had eggs benedict, but instead of ham, it was raw salmon.

Surprised the hell out of me how much I enjoyed it. Delicious.

So....... what food/dish prep difference has pleasantly surprised you lately?

TD that does sound good!

there is a burger joint that has jalapenos, swiss cheese, a slice of grilled ham, grilled pineapple and a fat patty on a bun with chipotle aioli.

it is amazing!

(aioli fancy word for mayo?)

My wife and I went out for dinner a little while back and her filet mignon had an over easy egg on top of it. Since then I have added it to my steaks. Great combination just never thought about combining the 2 together before.
