Insulin and Appetite

Does Insulin suppress anyone else's appetite? Not sure if it is a fluke or if it is really curbing my appetite this badly. Anyone?

Fiber in general I think, but maybe inulin has other properties?

fiber is a bulk kind of thing that leaves you feeling fuller. Feeling fuller means eating less. I use metamucil fiber and it reduces how much I eat for sure.

I was trying to ask if suppression of the appetite was normal with insulin use. I am seeing some of that myself.

No, I got more hungry...but it's been over 10-15 years since I've used it.

Insulin (I been on it for 6 years now) should be making you hungry quicker. But then again it depends on how many carbs you are eating, how much fat (body will use the fat first and that can slow down how many carbs you suck in per amount of insulin), and how much insulin you are using. Also depends on if the pancreas is spiking the liver for sugar, which can drive up the blood sugar without eating (mine does this is I don't eat for over 6 hours). Intense exercise like HIT cardio will spike the liver. Get a blood sugar monitor and see what is going on with your body. It usually takes me to getting to a blood sugar level of 90 range to get the hungry feeling. If you are eating before your blood sugar gets to that level, would explain why you are not getting hungry.

I obviously did not read well. Old man needs glasses. Insulin not inulin......

Insulin made my ferociously hungry.
