Yeah they called green day punk then they came out with those ballads and stuff and still called it punk. WHAT!?

Used to piss me off when people would say "I love punk. I listen to green day" when they were on the radio constantly. I would seriously get mad.

I was a metal head but ended up dating a punk girl. She made me like punk music through osmosis. She was a cool girl. To this day when I hear Minor Threat I think about her sitting in my car with her hair across one eye and seeing that single blue eye and the smile on her face. Damn she was so pretty.

I remember buying that album at the record store in Oceanside, CA.

This is from a classic album by The Buzzcocks, very pop-punk and ahead of its time, is Singles Going Steady containing this classic song. I saw them back in the day and lead singer Pete Shelley kept staring at me as I was up against the barricade right in front of him with a drunken shit eating grin on my face. I only later found out he was gay. :-) He died about a 2 years ago (not COVID).

Reminded me of this song. I guess it was the "cock" in the name.

This is a good grinding remake of the Rod Stewart classic. Back when my wife used to like sexy time with me this song would get her going.

I used to listen to the Buzzcocks. I still have one of their albums around here somewhere.
