Went deer hunting with uncle in NC

Only had 2 days and shot.....nothing saw a couple through the scope at 500 yards but i know my limits and that is past them. My uncle could have shot a small legal buck but waited for something bigger. I had to bum all my gear and even rifle. illegal loggers decimated my uncle's property. Anyway, it was good to be out there.

I had a great visit with him and the fam back east so it was worth it.

He gave permission to clear 5 acres to build a pond. They took advantage and took many big trees all over the whole property.

He is probably going to sue them but he has to prove they did it. they are denying it.

My nephew just got a 210lb 10 pt with a 23" spread with a crossbow in Pa. I'm jealous and pissed at the same time. He fed that beast all year behind his garage and literally sat in his back porch and waited for him. Where is the thrill and the spirit if the hunt? It's not how I was raised hunting. I loved pushing out fields and forests to my pap. Sitting in the middle of the woods surrounded by sounds of nature listening with hypersensitivity to every twig snap, hoping it was the big one coming g my way. Only to be a squirrel raising hell.
