This the breakdown of my meals for wk1 of a short bulk, target is 4k calories/day:
Quote:
M1: 1c oats + 2tbsp PB + 1/2scp iso

20mins cardio w/ BCAAs

M2: 7oz chicken + 5oz rice + veg

M3: 6oz xLGB + 6oz rice + veg

M4: 7oz chicken + 5oz rice + veg

75-90mins workout w/HBCD (100g)

M5: 7oz chicken + 5oz rice + veg

M6: 6oz xLGB + 6oz rice + veg

M7: 2c eggwhites + 2 whole eggs

M8: 1c oats + 2tbsp PB + 1/2scp iso
Week 2 is +300cal, wk3 add another 300cal

So 4k -> 4.3 -> 4.6 -> and so forth to 5500-6000ish before going back into prep mode

I'm 10 weeks out of CPA nationals, 8 weeks out of a regional show where I'd like to qualify in classic so I can do both bodybuilding and classic bodybuilding in Toronto (since that's another trip across the country it'd be nice to do both divisions)


Cardio was 20mins/d until this week (started roughly a month ago) and just increased to 30mins on Monday.


My weight isn't changing *much* but I am feeling leaner, not necessarily 'tight' yet, both due to the stage of prep (still have fat to lose) and the compounds I'm on (test, EQ and drol with minimal AI)


The good news:
- workouts are going well, strength is good, or even great (considering that I'm dieting)
- back isn't bothering me anymore (....ed it up doing heavy deads for the first time in years two weeks ago)
- nagging elbow tendinitis is minimal
- overall energy during the day is decent

The less good stuff:
- the edge of a barbell fell on the top of my foot yesterday night with excruciating results
- while I've been sleeping decently when I do sleep, I'm quite busy and haven't gotten enough
- pinky numbness on the sore elbow side is still there, playing piano and typing are tricky
- energy is decent but hunger is starting to set in, so it really feels like I'm dieting now


Macros are 400p/150c/65f (+25g HBCD intra workout)

No noticeable difference in weight, not feeling significantly leaner or tighter yet either but I'm sticking to the plan (as usual) so I'll have to assume things are still happening in the background

Small modification to supplements this week, swapped the 50mg/d of anadrol for winstrol instead

No diet change, still roughly 400p/175c/65f including intraWO carbs

I'm not doing any more cardio than prescribed (30mins LISS) but am trying to push a little harder every time...

Two pictures, in different lighting obviously, taken about 10hours apart...fasted/AM then 4-5 meals into the day pre workout on Saturday the 18th

I'm counting my blessings, back is as close to 100% as I can imagine it being which I am very grateful for. My foot definitely wasn't broken because it's not bothering me anymore

I have a nagging issue with one of my elbows, though, and my chiropractor thinks that I should probably get an xray to make sure my left scaphoid isn't fractured

Outside of that, training is going well. My lifts haven't been noticeably impacted by my diet and my energy is still decent, though I'm probably a little more distractable than I'm used to

I only had 45mins to train yesterday so I did a quick shoulder workout:

We spent the weekend in kelowna for at one of my sisters' wedding...it was a great trip, trained and did cardio every day, meals were (mostly) on point and kept the partying to a minimum...ish. Was fun to have all the siblings under one roof, we rented a big airBnB for us and our significant others.

Travel (especially long road trips) ....s with my weight so it fluctuated quite a bit...I'm starting to be happier with my 'look' but I'm way over the weight cap for classic so that needs to change ASAP if I stand a chance of qualifying - otherwise it'll just be the same old (BB) again.

We dropped a few carbs so I'm under 150/d now, macros are 410p / 140c / 60f...I add a few intraWO carbs as necessary but nowhere near my typical 50-100g

Cardio is 30mins still but I've been alternating stairmill with treadmill because I have such a hard time getting my HR up to let alone over 120bpm even on 15 incline/3.6mph
