I'm thinking staying at my present weight I'm drained as it is dropping too much more may hurt my performance on saturday. I'll talk to my professor and get his .02. Hope all goes well on Saturday that's all I want.

Woke up at 165 lbs final day final push for 159. So I'll hit the sauna and the elliptical to see if I can get there. I'm pissed I'm of my mark I wanted to be at 163 2 lbs off. I'll keep you posted

Jesus that is a lot of weight to cut for a BJJ tourney. I hope you feel good I had 2 weeks to drop 12 pounds and felt like shit in the ring. I had no power.

it is finding the point of diminishing returns as joe rogan puts it. especially if you are competing the same day. one just cannot get rehydrated in 4 hours after dropping 5# of water.

let us know how you do with some picks of the gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dropped 8 last August the day before competing and got double gold. I'm just like, look give it a shot if I miss I miss but I didn't quit. And I'll be able to get back to 169 easier and earlier if I have to. If not, I hope to be good to go. I'm such a hard head lol I set a goal and I just refuse to go down without fighting for it!
So today @10 I'll be at the gym doing cardio and the sauna and the hot box while wearing my sauna suit which I've grown to hate! hahahah...
My buddy will be there to monitor me, and God willing I make the weight.. I'm eating a couple egg whites and a yoke hoping to get that metabolism going..

Weigh-in's at 6! Wish me luck crew!

I'm happy to say that the 2 miserable hours at the gym paid off! My water depletion worked, and I was able to make 159.5!

I sat in the hot box at the gym 2 x 25mins, and 2 25 mins rounds on the treadmill.. I woke up at 165.5, made it to 159.5. Woke up monday @177.5 - 159.5...
It's tough, brutal and I hate it! I'm hoping to maintain a 160's life so I can compete at the NY Open in April at 164.. we'll see though.
I'm flat out dead tired,,,

Oh to come off a cut like this, I immediately start drinking pedialite & water, had some fruit (oranges & strawberries) a piece of a soft pretzel, and more pedialite with water. The team went to get mexican food, and I was the last in cause I couldn't find my wallet lol and everyone said (just sit at the table, we'll take care of your order.. evidently I looked like a dead man walking... LOL sad to say )
