even if weed is legal it probably will still be treated like alcohol. an employer may state that an employee may not have THC in one's body. look at the NFL. a guy can beat the shit out of his gal and get the same suspension as a guy who smoked some weed

I simply copy and pasted. Not sure why it didn't work.

Ever think of giving Tapatalk another shot? I know you had issues in the past but it's so convenient made for forum browsing, posting etc.

It's ridiculous. That said, there is some evidence that cannabis does have performance enhancing effects for endurance athletes. Personally I can't imagine fighting high, but we all know that drugs effect different people in different ways. I pretty much turn into a worthless zombie and only use it in the evening before bed to help with sleep. A good friend of mine will smoke at 10am and get all motivated...he wants to go for a run or chop wood or {insert physical activity here}.

Lots of guys I train with roll high. Pretty popular in Bjj community.

I ran this question by a lawyer. Basically the employer has the right to test anyone for a substance that may inhibit their ability to perform their duties as long as they have it in written policy and the employee acknowledges their understanding.

I am actually surprised more companies do not have breathalyzers at work, as I would assume quite a few people show up to work under the influence of alcohol. The Marine Corps now conducts breathalyzers with every drug test.

We get random drug test at work and usually a breathalyzer with it.

we have random tests too, never been picked so don't know if there is a breathalyzer but I know when I got hired on with my last three jobs I had one during my physical and drug test prior to officially starting.

Weed wise if the employer has it down as a no no and tests for it, doesn't matter if it's legal. tough part is the threshold. It's maybe easier to point to a threshold on alcohol because if it's quicker clearance and because it's been highly studied. I think with weed it's harder to tell how long ago it was used. Clearance on a low BF vs high BF person can be drastically different for example. Also one time vs regular use, etc. Alcohol varies too of course, but I don't think nearly as much. Also, what level of THC inhibits the average person from doing their job? Just by Bubba's comment above who fricking knows! I can see this becoming an issue as things progress. I can't wait for it to be legal in TX, it dramatically helps my IBD / IBS / UC / shit through a screen door from 20ft issue.
