Did a couple light sets of quad extensions.... not too bad
then loaded bar with just 100# felt silly..... but they went ok

So you pre-exhaust them before squats? That sounds like a pretty good idea.

How would Sissy squats treat your knee?

I dont seem to feel the wuad ectensions the same as squats so thats gonna ne the plan for now....Embarressed to say ive never tried them... its a great suggestion...

Agreed. What's the alternative?

Maybe find ways to stimulate the muscle without impaction/ repetion and grinding of the joint?

Look up occlusion training. I know some people that have had pretty good luck with it.
