Medical and Physical Therapy questions A place to talk about current and or past injuries and possibly how to deal with those injuries. Any advice should not be considered as medical advice, but rather from one person to another as you might ask a friend.

It's a delicate balance between inflammation and mitigation.

Miti what?
What can be done about it?

Yesterday's PT was rough. The female PT made me lie on my belly, she sat on my hamstring and made me flex the knee, forcing it until I was in pain. She will do this again on Monday but told me to take 2 painkillers before each session. She also made me do hamstring curls with resistance bands (fun ... not).

I will only go to the pool this week-end, no gym no nothing. She wanted me to do the Kinetec but I know what it will do to the knee and I hardly get 5 hours sleep lately.

Devil's claw root liquid extract has always been my go-to natural anti-inflammatory for joints. It tastes worse than anything you can imagine but it works wonders.

The capsules don't do crap, you need the liquid extract though, which means you will taste it, which means you'll develop a love-hate relationship with it, guaranteed. I would suggest taking 2ml, 3 times a day.

It's going to help, for sure. How much, that depends on too many factors...

I could do full revolutions on a mini bike earlier. I did 30 min elliptical on Sunday. Funny thing is that it loosens up the knee but if I sit down after my workout the stiffness is back with a vengeance. Gotgame, if you read this, any advice would be appreciated.

Grunt I'm not sure I can take that liquid extract you mention. I have a very sensitive stomach, everything makes me queasy since surgery ....
