what veggies to grow?

Let's hope none of this crap happens but it cannot hurt to buy a few extra $.99 packs of seeds and toss em in your BOB. potatoes are a big one as they can be stored for long periods in the winter and are relatively easy to grown and full of carbs.

beans are another staple of prepper folk. super easy to grow. protein, carbs fiber and vitamins.

I had no idea broccoli is easy to grow. it has high amounts of vitamins and is very filling.

tomatoes do not have a lot of macros but they are full of vitamins.

peppers are not on the list but have a lot of vitamin c and others and can make a boring ass pot of beans pretty tasty.

Just make sure to rotate your seeds out every year. Even when stored in the best conditions the hardiest seeds only last a few years.

Learn what veggies and fruits you like and can put up (can) for future use after the growing season is past. I'm learning this myself and plan on extending the size of my veggie garden next Spring. I also have a small orchard I started this past Spring.

My neighborhood has a couple of preppers and we get together over a few beers every once in a while, just to discuss 'things'. We have gardens, livestock and plenty of firepower.

Kale and spinach would be good, both heavily nutritional and continue to grow after you pull some of the leaves... so not good for canning but can sustain you all growing season

We live right next to miles of almond and grape orchards.

Home grown radishes are delicious, also like stated above spinach would be a good one. I love spinach but it doesn't last long when purchased from a store. It would be nice to just go out back and pick some.

spinach grows well but bugs devastate it. I tried last year.

cabbage is easier but not as healthy, still good.

radish, hmmm, great for flavor, easy to grow. good call
