Wondering when I should incorporate abs in this 3day split. Any suggestions? I am aware that allot of bodybuilders say there is no need to do much abs cuz you use your abs day to day already in your workout routine, but I have about 1 1/2 of flab on my gut I want to get rid of. I would like to continue 3 day split but want to burn this gut. Please help. Thx

Ive been eating right for about 2 months now. just wondering if I need to do extensive ab work, cuz this goo is still here.

Perfect, I don't like ab days anyway.

Just kidding bro, abs everyday is the general rule. I hate them as much as the next guy, until I get thru the 28% bodyfat! They probably look great, I just can't see them. Lol! Anyhow, I have been doing a similar split and the one you posted is superior. By the way, if that's you in your avatar I could be our cousin! not quite at big of course, but getting there with help. Started a 3-day split today. Mon is day 1: chest, shoulders and tris. Wednesday will be day 2: back and bis. Friday will be day 3: legs and abs.

Abs shouldn't be trained more than other muscles ... As someone said, you won't see your abs unless you have a low bf% and a clean diet.

I read that calves and abs should be everyday. I also read that the key to a six pack is diet. What you say makes sense. I think I work them so hard because I know they are there, but until I quit eating so much I won't look like an underwear model. It looks like you've been here a while so I would be a fool to question your knowledge. I will welcome the idea of not working my abs everyday, and focus on not consuming so many calories. Not that anyone wants to see a 42yo underwear model anytime soon, but you may have sparked an effort to see it for myself. Good luck with the split mellimium girl.
