Cardio alternatives

Random question Iíve wondered about.
Is it possible to get cardio in by lifting weights? Not sacrificing form rather change the tempo such as drop sets supersets etc, with minimal rest in between in order to keep heart rate elevated long enough to be effective.
Iíd be interested to know what some of you guys do to change things up a bit.
I know the importance of cardio but I have zero desire to get on an elliptical or treadmill for 45+ minutes

It is an old form, with new name, called Cross Fit, lol.

Again, old form, new name, HIT, high intensity training for cardio, although it is just Explosive Movements, try butt to ground---jumping as high as you can, again and again and again......

You can do what you mentioned....theory again would be, explosive movement versus a controlled time under tension rep.

Mix up push pull movements......start at medium high weight, do the drop sets, immediately move to next set, etc.

You have to set stuff up before big tri or quad sets, otherwise you lose the tempo getting stuff ready.

Try dribbling a basketball between the lines, changing hands, spinning around, not an easy task....takes blance, speed, etc.
You can also simplify stuff......between sets rather than rest do free squats with no weights, or calve raises no weights, just go go go.

I do not really do cardio anymore, but have lower body fat now than I did 3 years ago when I was still running. Rest pause training really helps burn calories.

I keep moving. My rest is shorter, reps higher. I do push pull exercises together and do not stop moving. In between sets of weights I do lunges or air squats. On leg days I do pushups crunches or dips.

1X a week I carry a 45 lbs plate with me and do work with it between. Yeah I am "That" goon in the gym that does that stuff.
