Good news for you dark coffee drinkers.

I follow Dr. Rhonda Patrick on twitter. Lots of good stuff on foundmyfitness. Seems coffee drinking has a lot of upsides and very few if any downsides.

So 23% less DNA damage. We damage our DNA with alcohol, environmental pollutants, mycotoxins in our food, highly processed foods and some would say GMO foods but I do not know about this one.

So any help we can get protecting our DNA is a benefit. What is cancer, but a cell that divides uncontrollably because it has a mutated or damaged DNA strand. (Yes, this is an oversimplification)

The benefits are not one you will see at the gym, in your day to day quality of life but long term.

Here is the tweet.

A mug that holds almost 2 measuring cups of coffee one, usually during the week and normally two o the weekends but I need sweetener, local honey, and cream.

Nesspresso is fairly concentrated. My sis has a nespresso machine. tasty brew when you want something rather than good ole thick black coffee. (we have a keurig in the office for my wife that I use sometimes when I am in a hurry. not as good as your machine)

I have a giant 20 oz mug. I put 18 oz of water which is more than 500 ml and drink the whole brew. then I brew again for my wife. ALWAYS dark roast. I LOVE Sumatran dark roast. Smooth and delicious.

I like the death wish as well. I get the pods for an anytime I need a boost single cup.

My daily morning brew is a French roast by Gavalia. I get the best flavor when I make it in a French press, but don't have time for that, coffee ninja makes a pretty good cup.

I always understood that dark roast was good but light and medium roast were better.

I think there is one component created by roasting that they are specifically talking about. I do know light roast has more caffeine. But I do not know for sure which is healthier. I prefer dark coffee way more than blonde which just tastes like water to me.
