Dipasquales ORIGINAL Anabolic diet was setup fine for the keto phase, but lacked anything to really help the trainee determine quantities of food and kind of suggested that bacon and eggs whenever you wanted were fine. The big downfall was there was basically no gudlines for the carb up and he specifically said if you want to have drinks--drink. A limit would be good, and he did not care if pizza and ice cream were the main meals. This can work on a 1/2 or 1 day carb up, and CAN work for SOME people, but others just basically dieted their asses off for 5 days only to gain most of the fat back on the weekend. Duchain's version was to anal, Muaro's too loose. The answer IMO falls somewhere in the middle. Using it for fat loss 1 day carb ups work better, and for competitor 1-2 meal carb ups are often the answer to get to 5%.

Muaro's latest book The metabolic diet, is a LOT more refined and more open to variations and has a LOT more precision.

lol those were the exact same observations I made when I read it. The two day carb up (or shitload as interpreted by many) certainly does not work for everyone, especially those sensitive to carbs. I thought I remember reading a general starting point for calories, but that could have been on his website.
