Okay MG,
here's one we make that is gluten free low sugar and vegan, remembering your GI issues I took the 2 spicy ingredients out

Roasted Garlic Hummus

1 12oz can chickpeas/garbanzo beans
1Tbsp roasted garlic
1 tsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp oregano fresh chopped

PREPARATION:
In a food processor, process beans, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and oregano until desired consistency. If hummus is too thick, simply add olive oil in small increments(i/2 teaspoon) until desired consistency.

Cucumber Red Onion and Olive Oil Relish

this is used as a finisher for fish and chicken, but in your case if the dice is smaller you could make it a spread for the Ezekiel bread you like, or eat it straight as a salad
If you boil a couple potatoes it make a pretty tasty potato salad, or blanch some green beans to make it a faux niciose salad

1 cup sliced black olives
1/2 red onion diced
1 cucumber peeled seeded and large diced
1/4cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¼ fresh lemon juice.
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp powdered jalapeno

Combine all ingredients in large bowl and mix well. Store in a plastic container labeled and dated.

So she wants to ban sugar from her diet and you tell her wine is ok? You're not really up to speed on the process of fermentation and making wine are you?

This guy LITERALLY copied this from WebMD.... Google it..... Seriously, this is really getting annoying..

I haven't tried a Keto diet but my family and I (mainly me forcing my family) ate a Paleolithic diet for several months, which is very similar. It was hard as hell. For the first 2-3 weeks, I felt like I was going through sugar withdrawal. I craved bread, juice, candy, and fruit. After those first few weeks things got a little easier though, the only problem is your life essentially revolves around planning meals. If it weren't for the kids my wife and I would've had an easier go of it. We did, however, change some things permanently. We don't drink cow milk anymore and have eliminated most dairy products. We cook with a lot of animal fat as opposed to using vegetable/corn oil. Oh, we also stopped eating corn (and a lot of other grains). My teenagers' skin cleared up eliminating just these two former staples.
I would say that if you start a Keto or Paleo don't go too hardcore. Start slow and work your way into it. Best of luck!
I definitely agree—Paleo is freaking difficult to sustain. But actually, after that sugar withdrawal period, everything taste much better. I can't eat anything too sweet afterwards. But yeah, I think before completely cutting some food gorups out of your diet, you should ease into it. Like this Paleo guide that helped me: https://understandingpaleo.com/how-t...ight-on-paleo/ Which I didn't follow all straight up. I did the changes one by one. I started with adding more eggs in my diet, then switching my oils to healthier options, then little by little decreasing meat in my diet and so on. You get the drill.
