Alright. Getting the picture now. Next step will have to finding the right Doc. Have looked at clinics in SanAntonio and there seems to be several. Whether they are worth a shit, who knows. Will find the post on the tests I should ask for and see what happens. I fear the worst cause I'm thinking that when they see that I'm in pretty good shape they might be biased just from that. I do suffer from a couple of the symptoms that are commonly known to show low T. Hopefully will get someone who is knowledgeable in these matters.

Once again thank you all for your time and advice. Since I do live fairly close to SanAntonio, about 20 miles or so, I will focus my search there. Can everyone who have been discussing this topic with me let me know how this treatment pans out when it comes to insurance and costs . Money is sorta tight as always and would like to have an average cost per month if possible. Also, how do Drs. mostly stand on the practice of self injection. Would rather go that route than having to fight thru traffic every week . Total nightmare! One other thing has got me concerned about TRT. Some have posted that their Drs. have them on a schedule of one shot per 7-10 days or something close to that. Have also read articles on medical sites that they even go as long as 14 days or more between injections. This to me spells trouble even when using long lasting esters as your T levels would tend to fluctuate fairly dramatically would they not. I've always adhered to the practice of more frequent injections so as to keep levels as stable as possible. Plus I kinda liked jabbing myself anyway! I apologize if I'm asking questions that have been covered elsewhere but I like to have all my ducks in a row before committing myself to a course of action.

My insurance wants to only pay for gel which is retarded. So I do t fool with them. A bottle good ol Watson cyp is $114 at the pharmacy and last ten weeks. Is my health worth $14 bucks a week to me? Well of course it is. I dont need an insurance company making any choices for me.

Sounds about the way I feel when coming to insurance. Thanks for input Darkness. But does most insurance cover any of the initial consultation and subsequent blood work and if so about how much cash would you guess a person should have on hand once they seek treatment. Hate to sound like a tightwad cause I'm far from it, just want to be prepared. IsTRT even considered a legitimate medical procedure by most insurance companies? I feel like a F****** child for having to ask these types of questions but I really haven't had much insurance since leaving the Air Force so don't know much about how most of them operate. Thanks for everyone's patience on these matters.

Do you feel that this amount is adequate for good maintenance and possibly adding to the existing muscle you now possess. I will be 55 in Feb. Yikes!
Just turned 60. Been on AAS for 37 years now. TRT maybe 12 years. Not exactly prescribed by a doctor but it is low dose just the same. I take testosterone undeconate at 1200mg/month which is about 180mg of test without ester/wk. I feel this is a adequate dose. Dr's here will not prescribe this and I like not having to do all the injections. Just 1 a month.

Find a doc and call to see if they take your insurance. If they do, they will be able to tell you what your plan allows and what copay will be. My insurance pays for my man rub and all my tests, I usually get enough for a couple of months, there is an amount that the doc can prescribe, usually controlled by the Gubbermint, since it IS a controlled substance.

There used to be a doc on the Boards years ago that went by the name Swale, a lot of his writings on running TRT can be found by doing a search. Basically everything you need, SERM's, anti E's and Hcg schemes.
