Pena vs nunes 2 July 30.

I thought Nunes had seen something in the first fights films, it looked like she was keying in off of something Pena was doing to set up her entrance and nunes kept meeting her with stiff well timed jabs... It wasn't the best championship fight ever but it was a really good fight. You really saw a difference in Nunes, she looked hungry and prepared this time...

She was way less aggressive, and it threw off Pena with the southpaw stance...Jipped and others could give way more detail on all that. I think if there is a rubber match, Pena will fix that, but then Nunes will probably come in better and prepared as well....assuming her cardio is still up. Pena had her streaks on the stand-up though, she was still dangerous, but she was getting clobbered with the right lead hand from Nunes's southpaw. Pena's corner wanted her to take Nunes down, but Nunes did it first, lol. It was brilliant by Nunes (IMO...I think, lol), but she did not have a cakewalk on the ground, Pena almost sub'd her a few times, but lost it probably due to the sweat. Nunes had just enough GnP to make herself look good though. Major props to both, I didn't know what to expect for the fight. I hope they have a 3rd fight soon.

Yeah changing stances to SP if you prepared for conventional is a bear. You drill stuff over and over then the power hook comes from the WRONG SIDE! Pena could not stop the right hook. She got popped and put down a few times but that gal is tough, she got back up and got right in Nunes's face.

Nunes was far more patient. Instead of looking to kill she waited for the forward pressure to bring Pena to her and then used her strikes to disrupt Pena's game.

i think if Pena did not use total forward pressure, mixed in real feints and stepped back off Nunes's power hook THEN countered she would have better shot.

But then what do I know HAHAHA!
