That is not all that overboard. You said before you still had abs so you may end up requiring that much to bulk effectively. Your toilet and family may not like you with that much protein.
Seriously though everyone is different in terms of what it takes to grow. You have to play with the numbers and see how your body reacts to certain levels. For me typically I can gain weight in the beginning of a bulk fairly easily then it tapers off and I have to bump everything up to keep gaining. -TAZ

Weight is coming up.. I started going to the buffet a couple days a week and can eat fairly clean there.. Lotsa red skin potatoes and meat..
I took some pics and will post them.. Lighting is bad and I look fat but o well.. It is what it is.. Changed up my training too.. Doing the 3 big lifts with assistance work after.. Chest = Heavy bench then tri's and shoulders Back = Deads then Bi's and lat work Legs = Squats and then Ab/Adductor hacks (close stance) I have no real sweep to speak of so I need to work on that.. I am happy with the upper body size so legs are more important to me but I am doing it all.. Leg workout the other day was good. I was physically ill and drained for 2 days after.. Leg extensions (warm up for squats) 50 x 15 x 15 x 15 Squats 135 x 12 x 8 185 x 8 225 x 6 275 x 3 315 x 3 365 x 3 315 x 3 (dropped back down cause this was the first leg wo since I broke my toe and the 365 was a bit much on it) Leg Press 405 x 10 495 x 8 585 x 6 Abductor 120 x 15 x 15 x 15 I was done at this point and it dont look like much but it was done in 40 minutes.. Weight is 232 as of right now.. |

As you get heavier you will notice fluctuations in your weight getting bigger. At 280something pounds I can fluctuate 8-9 pounds over the course of a few days with water retention, shitting, sweating, etc. Its not uncommon.
